When using one of those popular, inexpensive, frequently advertised email marketing programs, be sure to proof your work, and I'm not just talking about the main text either. An email arrived from a newsgroup to which I belong, with the scintillating title "Enter Email Subject Here." They have recently switched to using a template-based email system with a fill-in-the-blank, so-easy-even-a-luddite-can-do-it interface. Then they sent out an email in which they had neglected to put a title.
These are not words of wisdom; they are common sense. Proof, test send to yourself, and proof again.
Otherwise you risk looking like a disorganized organization which does not pay attention to detail.
The irony of this is that the email came from a project management organization, and in my experience, there is no one more detail oriented than a project manager.
